MVP Cricket Academy Policy and Terms & Conditions

This document outlines the policies, procedures, and terms and conditions for all members, parents, and participants (collectively referred to as “Patrons”) of the MVP Cricket Academy (MVPCA). Enrollment in any MVPCA program, lesson, clinic, or membership constitutes acceptance of these terms.

 

1. Registration and Financial Policy

 

1.1 Non-Transferability and Non-Refundable Status

All lesson registrations, clinic enrollments, camps, and memberships are non-transferable to another party and non-refundable once purchased or registered.

 

1.2 Pricing and Payment
  • Prices are subject to change at any time and without prior notice. MVPCA will endeavor to provide reasonable notice for active members.
  • Payment is due in full prior to the start of any lessons, clinics, camps, or other programming. Participation will not be allowed until payment has been processed.
1.3 Usage and Expiration
  • All programming, lessons, clinics, camps, etc., purchased must be used during the specified session or validity period as outlined at the time of purchase.
  • No refunds or credits will be provided for any unused lessons, sessions, or programming that expire.
1.4 Withdraw or Pausing Monthly Subscriptions
  • All patrons are enrolled in a monthly subscription with automatic deductions on the first of each month. Written notification of cancellation must be received by email on or before the 20th day of the month preceding the month for which cancellation is requested.
  • Players may take a maximum of one month break per calendar year. Breaks exceeding one month will incur a registration fee, and the player will need to undergo a customer-paid evaluation before rejoining classes.

2. Attendance, Lateness, and Rescheduling

 

2.1 Participant Lateness and No-Shows
  • All participants are required to show up and be ready to begin practice 15 minutes prior to the scheduled lesson or program time to complete their warm-up.
  • Lateness of more than 15 minutes past the scheduled start time constitutes a no-show and the lesson will be forfeited.
  • No requests to reschedule missed lessons or sessions due to Patron absence, lateness, illness, or personal conflict will be entertained.
2.2 Academy-Initiated Cancellations
  • Coaches and management may need to reschedule or cancel lessons, programs, or facility access at times due to unforeseen factors, such as non-availability of the facility, extreme weather, or coaching staff emergency.
  • MVPCA will do its best to schedule make-up lessons or provide a credit for any such Academy-initiated cancellations.

3. Conduct, Equipment, and Facility Use

 

3.1 Sportsmanship and Code of Conduct
  • Good sportsmanship is expected at all times from patrons, parents, and spectators. This includes respect for coaches, staff, teammates, opponents, and facility property.
  • Zero Tolerance Policy: MVPCA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abusive language, bullying, fighting, or discriminatory behavior. Violation of this code may result in immediate suspension or expulsion from the Academy without a refund.
3.2 Required Attire and Equipment
  • All patrons are expected to wear MVPCA gear, (e.g.,academy gear, long pants, cricket shoes etc) and clean, non-marking athletic shoes suitable for the facility at all times.
  • All Patrons are required to bring their own cricket kits/equipment. MVPCA is not responsible for lost or damaged personal equipment.
3.3 Theft and Property Damage
  • Theft of any product, training item, or facility property will not be tolerated.
  • Anyone caught stealing will automatically lose their privilege to use the facility permanently.
  • The participant and/or their guardian(s) will be billed for the full replacement value of items stolen or damaged.

4. Safety, Liability, and Medical

 

4.1 Acknowledgment of Risk and Waiver of Liability
  • Patrons and their guardians acknowledge that participation in cricket involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to concussions, strains, fractures, and severe physical harm.
  • Patrons and their Guardians, on behalf of themselves and the Participant, hereby assume all risks associated with participation and agree to release and hold harmless MVPCA, its coaches, employees, and officers from any and all claims, including those arising from the MVPCA’s ordinary negligence, for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death caused by participation in MVPCA activities.
4.2 Concussion Protocol (Lystedt Law Compliance)
  • In compliance with common state and federal youth sports safety mandates, any participant suspected of sustaining a concussion or head injury must be immediately removed from practice or competition.
  • The participant may not return to play until they have been evaluated and cleared by a licensed healthcare provider and have submitted written proof of clearance to MVPCA staff.
  • It is the responsibility of parents to medically evaluate and submit written proof of clearance to MVPCA
4.3 Emergency Information
  • Patrons must ensure that current, accurate medical and emergency contact information is on file with the Academy at all times.

5. Media and Communications

 

5.1 Photo and Video Release
  • Unless otherwise notified in writing, Patrons and their guardians consent to the use of the participant’s image, likeness, name, and/or voice in photographs, video recordings, and other media by MVPCA for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without compensation.
  • To Opt-Out: If you wish to opt-out of this media release, you must submit a written request/email to MVPCA management at the time of registration.
